Hey guys!
First thing I want to say is thank you for everyone who reached out to me after the last newsletter I sent. Things haven’t really gotten any better (in fact, family tragedy and personal medical issues have actually gotten worse), but I really do appreciate all of you who reached out.
It really is life saving to know you’re not alone in the dark days. So, again, I thank you all.
Now let’s get to business.
The DC Online Pop Vinyl Giveaway
In an effort to help ease my mental health dramas, I’ve found myself for the first time in about a decade playing a superhero MMORPG. I feel so guilty spending my time playing video-games instead of writing or podcasting, but dammit if it isn’t a whole lot of fun and such a relief of stress.
When I play solo, I am…
The Grey Turtle is my attempt at a classic, gun-slinging pulp hero like the Shadow or Lobster Johnson or The Phantom. So, he’s obviously armed with a couple old school pistols. But I’ve also given him shape-changing abilities. He can turn into a variety of animal forms.
The idea is that The Grey Turtle once studied under a group of lamas. In the lamasery, he trained in mystical ways. Through his training, The Grey Turtle gained the ability to change shape into a number of animals.
He eventually returned to Gotham City as the mysterious Grey Turtle, using two guns in his solo war on crime.
It’s a goof, but if I’m not boring you and you wanna know about my villain Cryptid Man, let me know. I’m really enjoying this game and playing with the Turtle-Boy Podcasters online each week.
Now, all that is to lead into saying that I REALLY dig this game, and I love streaming it SO much (that’s what the kids call it these days), that I thought I’d have a giveaway to try to drum up some followers over on Twitch.
So, with no further adieu, The DC Online Pop Vinyl Giveaway!
I’ve put together this massive Pop Vinyl Prize Pack, and everyone who follows me on Twitch will be in the running to win! And what exactly can you win? I’m glad you asked!

#31DaysOfSpookyWonderWoman
Each October I try to read one spooky comic every day. I pick a series and use October as a chance to catch up or re-read stuff. Last year I did Marvel Zombies, the year before I did Hellboy.
With this October being the 80th Birthday of Wonder Woman, luck would have it that a couple years ago Wonder Woman actually led a Justice League Dark team, AND there are exactly 31 issues in the run (not counting branching out into other comics the series they crossed over with).
So, this year’s theme is Justice League Dark.
Check out the hashtag #31DaysOfSpookyWonderWoman on social media and read along with me! One issue a day isn’t too labour intensive, yeah? The posts I’m making on social media also have links to very cheap digital copies of each issue.
I have read most of this run before, but I didn’t remember just how horrifying this comic is. Three issues in and I am so glad I decided on Justice League Dark. This is a real body-horror punch in the face so far AND I LOVE IT!
I hope you’ll join me on this #31DaysOfSpookyWonderWoman journey!

Gorilla my Dreams Kickstarter Updates
The Gorilla my Dreams: The Sheep from the Ghost Kickstarter fulfillment has really become a bug up my butt. Almost all of Australia should have their loot by now, but my overseas distributors are really slowing things down for the rest of the world.
I had hoped that GORILLA MY DREAMS TEAM-UP #1 would have been launched by now, and definitely by Halloween. I wanted this new comic in people’s hands by Halloween, but I don’t feel comfortable launching another project while people haven’t got what they paid for last time yet.
If you’re one of those non-Australians still waiting on your comics, I really appreciate your patience. I’ll be handling things differently next time as far as fulfillment is concerned.
I really hope the delays of Gorilla my Dreams: The Sheep from the Ghost don’t scare anyone off from GORILLA MY DREAMS TEAM-UP #1, because I’m really proud of this book. But to be completely honest, I wouldn’t blame people if they didn’t come back.
Anyway…
That’s it for this week. Be good to each other.
Big Tim

Post Credit Sequence: Let’s get Personal
Here’s your last chance to back away quietly if you don’t wanna know any of my ugly real lift shit. I’m gonna get more real than you might be comfortable with so…
The Gorilla my Dreams: The Sheep from the Ghost Kickstarter fulfillment is only one thing bringing a lot of stress to my life right now. As I said last time, it is SO hard to manage my own depression and mental health while trying to save my kid from that same pain. I’ve been trying, but it’s so hard to focus on mine, when I’m heartbroken about my kid’s.
Friday was one of the worst days I can remember. I had a no-holds-bared meeting with the day-job management (I won’t go into that any further), followed by a trip to the hospital.
I had to go to emergency because I’ve been bleeding out my butt-hole for a week. Friday it was so bad that I had no choice but to get to the emergency ward. Two-hours and a finger up the date later, I’ve learned that its nothing too serious and should be good (what?!?).
I get home to see my family gathered around our old girl Polly-Dog. Poor girl was crippled with pain. She’s old. We knew she didn’t have long left in this world, and you think that you’re ready, but you can’t prepare for something like this.
We took her to a vet and were basically told that this was it for her. Her tiny little body had just come to the end of the line. She’d had a good long life, and it was just time, you know?
So, we had her put to sleep. We cried. Fuck we cried.
I know we like to make fun of people who call their dogs children, but you really do learn to love a pet. Spend over a decade with any animal and they literally become part of your family.
This weekend, our little family is broken.
And if I wasn’t already second guessing my life, the depression, the kids, the Kickstarters, the crashed car, the money, the day job, the bleeding, and now Polly-Dog leaving us? I feel so lost. I’m trying to be strong for everyone around me but fuck I’m lost. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what I’m supposed to do.
So, it’s back to the business of funny books for me. For how long? I dunno.
I just don’t know what else I’m supposed to do.
Thanks for letting me be real for a few minutes.
Big Tim
